World of Warcraft: Legion is finally here. More popularly known as “Legion,” it is the sixth installment in the World of Warcraft series, following Warlords of Draenor.
The game’s plot takes place after the events that took place in the Warlords of Draenor. With the Tomb of Sargeras reopened, the demons of the Burning Legion have entered the world. And they only have one intention, and that is to summon the Dark Titan, Sargeras, to Azeroth. Upon witnessing the Legion’s return, the Archmage Khadgar warns King Varian Wrynn of the coming invasion. As destruction strikes across Azeroth, its heroes must find the mighty Artifacts and use them to bring down the army of the Burning Legion before everything is gone.
In this latest game, a new demon hunter class will be introduced at level 98. The demon hunters are known as dark warriors shunned by the greater Night Elf Society. Unlike the other night elves, the demon hunters made a pact to use dark powers to defeat the forces of chaos. These warriors have also ritually blinded themselves to develop the “spectral sight, the ability to see demons and the undead with clarity.” Demon hunters can wield demonically charged war blades and summon demonic energies to augment their combat skills. Playable demon hunters will belong to the Illidari faction.
Legion will also feature a new continent called The Broken Isles, located in the Great Sea, northeast of the raging Maelstrom.
The game brings out new artifact weapons including the Ashbringer and Doomhammer. There will be an update on class orders as well and a new honor system which includes the PvP-only talent system. And best of all, there will be new dungeons, raids, and world bosses to fight.
The game will be released for Microsoft Windows and OS X computers and gaming laptops on August 30, 2016.
