Overwatch’s popularity continues to rise. Overwatch was released this year for PS4, XBox One, and Microsoft Windows PC and gaming laptops. The game has already garnered more than 9.7 million players online. No wonder gaming organizations have started forming teams to compete for Overwatch.

Fnatic, one of the biggest e-sport organization, has officially announced their Overwatch team. The team will consist of seven members including the Swedish duo André “iddqd” Dahlström and Oliver “Vonethil” Lager. Then there are Ex EnVyUS players Warsi Faraaz “Stoop” Waris, Matthew “coolmatt69” Iorio, and Casey “buds” McIlwaine. The team will be lead by Scott “custa” Kennedy who has shown excellent skills playing as a support and a knowledgeable all around player. To complete the team is Robert “Roflgator” Malecki to act as their coach. Roflgator has coached several teams in Overwatch from the past.

“It’s an honor to be able to work with such an amazing group of players under the most legendary organization,” said Roflgator in Fnatic’s press release. “We have the tools to become the best team in the world, and my goal is to help this team accomplish just that.”

Iddqd and Vonethil are already famous in the Overwatch scene. “Vonethil” was known for his strong in-game leadership and has won numerous competitive matches. “Iddqd”, on the other hand, has been known for his great aim and reflexes. He is best known for playing McCree and was the highest ranked player during Overwatch’s first week of Competitive Play. Iddqd will take the role of DPS, while Vonethil will be the team’s support. “Stoop” will play as the team’s tank, and “coolmatt69” will act as a flex player. Lastly, there’s “buds” who will also play as the team’s DPS. According to Fnatic’s press release, their Overwatch team will live and play in the US.

We can’t wait to see them in action on the Overwatch World Cup!
